Commonwealth Games : Queen’s Baton Relay arrives in Delhi

The Queen’s Baton Relay (QBR) of the XIXth Commonwealth Games reached host city New Delhi on Thursday after completing a 20,000 kilometer long journey, passing through all 28 Indian states and seven Union Territories.

Commonwealth Games : Gill satisfied with facilities at Games Village

Games Village mayor Dalbir Singh on Wednesday announced that 2,400 athletes and delegates from 52 countries arrived in the village. “Over 2,300 athletes are expected to check in by Friday morning,” he added.
With a 700-strong cleaning crew working round-the-clock supervised by senior government officials, the Games Village appears almost ready.

Nigeria targets Commonwealth Games Crown

The Delhi traffic police on Tuesday thanked the residents of the capital for their cooperation in implementing the road lanes dedicated to the movement of Commonwealth Games athletes.

No Commercial Vehicles on Commonwealth Games Routes

From September 30, the traffic police are also going to restrict commercial vehicles of all sizes on all roads which form Commonwealth Games  routes.
